JOB DESCRIPTIONAbout the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an
Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join our team. This role involves supervising and supporting our electrical fixed wire testing site engineers in Greater Manchester. This is a permanent opportunity, working 39 hours per week (Monday-Friday).

Key Responsibilities:- Ensure a quality electrical service that meets regulatory standards is provided to our customers.
- Ensure that the engineer's test results of all inspection and testing works are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates or reports.
- Ensure NICEIC / BAFE accreditations are maintained by acting effectively as Qualifying Supervisor.
- Support the Quality and Compliance Manager in ensuring electrical performance, productivity and quality are maintained and audit reports are provided to the Service Managers.
- Support the Quality and Compliance Manager to ensure that the business premises, equipment, documentation, and records are available for inspection when required by NICEIC.
- Safeguard all unused NICEIC forms of certification and report any loss, theft or misuse.
- Undertake inspections of jobs, to ensure quality standards are being maintained and take corrective action as necessary.
- Undertake periodic inspections of electrical installations.
- Provide electrical technical updates to operational staff.
- Support the protection and safety of our customers by ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and safeguarding concerns are appropriately identified, monitored and reported.
Essential Skills/Experience- Proven knowledge and experience in electrical fixed wire testing up to 400V.
- Up-to-date working knowledge of inspection, testing, and fault finding.
- Excellent knowledge of current IEE Regulations.
- Experience in delivering excellent customer service.
- Proficiency in using maintenance information systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Clean driver's license.
Desirable Skills/Experience- Experience in managing processes and service delivery within teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry improvements and innovations.
Essential Qualifications- Must meet Qualification Requirements of NICEIC QS application based on IET EAS guidance with a relevant craft, testing and inspection and regulations qualifications. Depending on award date and nature of qualification, an end point assessment like an AM2 qualification may be required to confirm craft competency.
Accepted qualifications include, but are not exclusive to:- City and Guilds 236 Pt 1&2 and NVQ Level 3 (with end point assessment like AM2 if necessary)
- City and Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671.
Desirable- SSSTS (CITB Site Supervisor training)
- Up to Date Portfolio of CPD (Continuous Professional Development) evidence
Note: SSSTS and CPD training will be provided if necessary to a suitable candidate.
This position will require a basic DBS check which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.
